"Blight" Walnut & Spalted Maple Sideboard Cabinet

Walnut and maple - a truly classic combo. Two years ago I saw a cocktail cabinet with tiny doors and spalted maple panels in them. I loved the splash of chaos that spalting can provide. The mind can effortlessly jump from thinking about furniture to a log decaying on the ground in the woods (for me, anyway!).

The goal with this piece was to strike a contrast between the geometric inorganic form and chaotic organic form. I hope you like it!

Each piece is finished with a protective oil and hardwax blend for a beautiful and warm matte finish. Finish will not water-spot.
